This is the entire collection of digital designs inspired by the molas of Kuna Indians of Panama. Created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Kelly uses hundreds of different digital layers to create vibrantly colored, energetic patterns that each focus on a single icon as it’s theme (more). Each icon represents a different “layer” of the major roles in her life…Sister, Designer, Wife, Mother. These icons are simple forms and concepts that are central to her life experience to date. They can each be taken very literally, at their most basic level– or upon closer examination and explanation, carry very personal and more abstract references. You can choose to look for the more conceptual meanings, or just simply enjoy them for their energy and the love with which they were created.

These designs are available in the Shop for purchase as limited and open-edition archival quality prints, jewelry and greeting cards. Or, if you live in the Rochester, NY area, you can come visit Kelly in person at one of her upcoming shows. Click “News + Events” at the bottom of this page to see a complete list of upcoming shows, including links to their informational sites.
